Loretto, Pa. – The Saint Francis women's soccer team (1-2-1) plays two home matches this weekend starting with Binghamton on Fri., Aug. 31 at 4 p.m. followed by Bucknell on Sun., Sept. 2 at 4 p.m.

Scouting Binghamton
The Bearcats come to Loretto with a 2-1-1 record after defeating Iona 1-0 on Sunday. Kayla Seager is off to a blistering start with three goals and two assists and has recorded 21 shots and 12 shots on goal through the first four games. It should come as no surprise after her 11 goal, seven assist outing from last season when Binghamton went
11-4-4. Ryan Reilly, who finished 2017 with four goals and three assists, has added a goal and an assist this season.

SFU is 0-1-1 all-time vs. Binghamton but the schools haven't met since 2002.

Scouting Bucknell
The Bison are off to a 1-3 start but have had to navigate a difficult schedule that included a 1-0 loss to No. 7 Virginia on Sunday. The Bison defeated Niagara 4-1 in its only victory but have been shutout in its three losses.

Bucknell defeated Saint Francis 4-0 last season to move to 9-6-2 all-time vs. the Red Flash.
Slowed Down
The Saint Francis attack entered Sunday's contest leading the NEC in every offensive category. Despite averaging 2.67 goals per game and 17.0 shots per game, the Red Flash were held to just three shot attempts and two shots on goal in a 1-0 loss at Loyola Md. It was just the third time in the last 11 games that SFU has been shutout dating back to last season.

Eight Red Flash freshmen have made their debuts this season and four have started at least one game. Forwards
Heather Markiewicz (Darnestown, Md./Northwest) and
Alex Martinez (Baltimore, Md./Maryvale Prep) have already found the back of the net while
Leanna Choo (Germantown, Md./Northwest) and
Alyssa Deschler (Allentown, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) have chipped in with assists.
