Loretto, Pa.- The Saint Francis men's soccer team (2-2) travels down route 22 to take on non-conference rival Duquesne (1-2) on Wednesday, Sept 12, at 7 p.m.

Scouting Duquesne
The Dukes come into Wednesday match a 1-2 overall record, however, both losses have been by a goal. Duquesne's only win came from a 3-0 victory over Detroit Mercy.

Four Duquesne players are tied with one goal apiece. Freshman forward Manel Busquets is one of the four players with one goal but has also contributed two assists which came in the victory against Detroit Mercy. The Dukes have been utilizing two goalies this season as both accumulated over 100 minutes each. Redshirt Junior Robbie McKelvey sits sixth in the conference with 13 total saves and a .867 save percentage.

Duquesne has owned the all-time series with a 7-6-4 record. Saint Francis enters Wednesday with a one game winning streak over the Dukes including a 4-2 win in Loretto a season ago.

In the upcoming days, the forecast doesn't look favorable for any teams in the area. Sunday's matchup against Canisius was postponed due to heavy rain and puddles on the playing surface. The makeup date is to be determined as both teams are waiting for an opening their schedules.

The Red Flash appear to be one of the top programs in the Northeast Conference so far in 2018 as it is one of the two teams to possess a .500 winning percentage or higher. Fairleigh Dickinson leads the conference with a 3-2-1 record, followed by the Red Flash at 2-2 and the Blackbirds of LIU Brooklyn at 2-3-1. Saint Francis posted a 3-4 conference record a season ago.
