SFU shutout at Duquesne, 2-0

BOX SCORE Loretto, Pa. - The Saint Francis women's soccer team (2-5-2) was held scoreless for the fourth straight match in a 2-0 loss at Duquesne.

Turning Point

Duquesne opened the scoring in the 30th minute on a goal from Abby Losco then held SFU without a clear-cut scoring chance the rest of the match.

Highlights

Alex Saturni doubled the lead for Duquesne in the 64th minute to ice the match away.

  • Redshirt junior Julia Hernan (Collegeville, Pa./The Hill School) made four saves in defeat. Sophomore Morgan O'Loughlin (Downington, Pa./Downington West) entered the match in a relief role and recorded two saves.
  • Duquense totaled all 15 shots in the match.
  • Saint Francis is still searching for its first road win of the season after five attempts.
  • Each team tallied three corner kicks.
