PHILADELPHIA, PA- Alexis Lambert (McKinney, Tx./McKinney-Boyd) led the offense with 10 kills and
Kimmy Sweeney (Broadview Heights, OH/Beaumont School) and
Jess Barrett (Broadview Heights, OH/North Royalton) each reached double figures in digs but Lehigh proved too much for the Red Flash in a three-set setback to start the Valley Forge Invite.

Lambert's 10 kills were a team high while
Nicole Adams (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa East) chipped in seven to go along with a pair of blocks.
Kimmy Sweeney (Broadview Heights, OH/Beaumont School) added a double double with 12 assists and a team best 13 digs.

FIRST SET RECAP
- A kill from Madi Tyus (Plano, TX/Bishop Lynch) and an ace from Elise Dumouchelle (Ashburn, Va./Broad Run) got SFU out to a 3-1 lead
- The Mountain Hawks ran off five-straight points to grab a 7-4 lead
- Kills from the Esposito sisters, Cecilia and Sophia helped the Red Flash cut the lead to 10-8
- Lehigh would slowly stretch the lead out to 15-10, forcing a Saint Francis timeout
- Another Tyus kill and a pair of Lehigh errors would get SFU within five but Lehigh would stretch the lead out to as many as seven
- Kills from Alexis Lambert (McKinney, Tx./McKinney-Boyd) and Nicole Adams (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa East) again got SFU within striking distance but it was too late as Lehigh closed out the set at 25-20

SECOND SET
- A pair of Nicole Adams (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa East) kills got SFU off to another quick start, grabbing a 5-2 lead
- Lehigh would rally back to tie it only to see a pair of Lambert kills give SFU a 10-8 advantage
- The turning point of the set followed as Lehigh ripped off eight-straight points to take a 16-10 lead despite a pair of timeouts by SFU to try to slow them down
- A Tyus kill stopped the Lehigh run but SFU could get no closer than six points the rest of the way
- Lehigh ran off another five-straight points and won six of the last eight points of the set to take set two at 25-14

THIRD SET
- Lehigh jumped out to the early 5-2 lead, prompting a SFU timeout
- A trio of kills from Emily Pieper (Paonia, Colo./Paonia) let SFU chip away at the lead, trimming it to 8-7
- The Red Flash tied up the set off a combo block from Sophia Esposito (Coraopolis, PA/Montour (Gardner-Webb)) and Nicole Adams (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa East)
- A Lambert solo block was part of a 3-0 spurt that gave SFU their first lead at 11-9, forcing a Lehigh timeout
- Out of the timeout, Lehigh rallied back to tie the set at 12 but kills from Tyus and Adams gave SFU back a 15-12 lead
- The turning point of the set came next as Lehigh won five-straight points and eight of nine to take control of the set
- A Lambert kill late wouldn't be enough as Lehigh closed out the set and the match at 25-17

The Red Flash are right back at it on Friday afternoon at 330 at the Palestra in Philly as they take on the Radford Highlanders.
