Men's soccer records 3-1 triumph over Bryant

Loretto, Pa. – Saint Francis men's soccer (6-4-0, 3-1-0 NEC) used two second half goals to surge past Bryant (6-4-0, 3-1-0 NEC) by a score of 3-1 on Sunday at Stokes Soccerplex.

  • After a Bryant goal in the ninth minute, SFU answered with a Felix Tonne (Kolbotn, Norway) goal off assists from Renan Fuentes (Sao Paolo, Brazil/Colegio Joao XXIII) and Lucas Canineu (Corbin, Ky/Corbin) to tie the match 1-1 in the 38th minute
  • Canineu put the Red Flash ahead 2-1 on a goal off a Fuentes assist in the 57th minute
  • Piet Wesling (Hamburg, Germany) sealed the win for Saint Francis with a header off a Lucas Rosa (Atibaia, Brazil/COC Atibaia) corner kick. Brandon Ott (Spring City, PA/Owen J. Roberts) and Rosa were credited with assists
