Red Flash host Robert Morris in crucial NEC match Friday

Loretto, Pa. – Saint Francis women's soccer (4-8-1, 3-3-0 NEC) returns to action for a crucial NEC match against Robert Morris (4-8-2, 2-3-1 NEC) on Friday, Oct. 18. Kickoff at Stokes Soccerplex is set for 3 p.m.
 
Scouting Robert Morris
The Colonials are coming off a scoreless draw against Fairleigh Dickinson this past Sunday and previously fell to Sacred Heart 1-0 on Oct. 11. Robert Morris sits in a three-way tie for seventh place in the NEC standings with seven points, but are only three points out of the fourth and final postseason spot with four matches left to play. Sheridan Reid leads the team with nine points on four goals and an assist. Kayla Veloso-Lima has eight points on three goals and two assists.
 
Series History
Saint Francis leads the all-time series history against Robert Morris 18-7-3. However, the Colonials won last season's meeting 2-0 on Oct. 13, 2018 in Moon Township, Pa.
 
Breast Cancer Research Game Fundraiser Results
Saint Francis held its annual Breast Cancer Research game this past Sunday against Sacred Heart. The team raised $4,208 for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and wants to thank everyone for their contributions and support.
 
NEC playoff picture
Saint Francis sits in a tie for fifth place with LIU in the NEC standings with nine points. The Red Flash trail fourth place Central Connecticut State by one point for the fourth and final postseason spot.
 
Red Flash look to pick up first home win
Despite its success on the road, Saint Francis has struggled to record a win on its home turf this season. SFU is 4-2-1 when playing away from Loretto and 0-6-0 at Stokes Soccerplex this season.
 
McGhee moving up the record books
Senior forward Alyssa McGhee (Altoona, Pa./Bishop Guilfoyle) leads the Northeast Conference this season in goals (8), points (17) and game-winning goals (3). McGhee has 27 goals in her career, which ranks fifth all-time at Saint Francis. The Altoona, Pa. native has 22 career assists and 76 career points, which both rank fourth in SFU history.
 
SFU offense putting up the numbers
Saint Francis ranks second in the NEC in goals per game (1.54) and third in assists per game (1.23). However, the Red Flash are last in the league with 2.38 goals allowed per game.
