Red Flash hit the road for matches at LIU and Wagner

Loretto, Pa. – Saint Francis women's soccer (2-6-1, 1-1-0 NEC) continues Northeast Conference play this weekend on the road with matches at LIU (2-7-1, 1-1-0 NEC) on Friday, Oct. 4 at 4 p.m. and at Wagner (3-6-1, 1-0-1 NEC) on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 1 p.m.
 
Scouting LIU
The Sharks are coming off a 3-2 win at St. Francis Brooklyn this past Friday. LIU had previously lost three straight matches without scoring a goal, including a 2-0 defeat to conference foe Fairleigh Dickinson on Sept. 18. The Sharks are led by Kendra Oldroyd, who was named NEC Co-Player of the Week after scoring two goals to lift LIU to the win St. Francis Brooklyn.
 
Series History
This will be the first meeting with the restructured Long Island University. The Sharks combined both the LIU Brooklyn and LIU Post teams prior to this season.
 
Scouting Wagner
The Seahawks are coming off a 2-2 tie with Sacred Heart this past Friday. Wagner previously knocked off St. Francis Brooklyn 2-0 to open conference play on Sept. 22. Maria Nunez has paced the team's offense this season with 11 points on five goals and an assist. Nunez has scored a goal in three of the last four matches.

Series History
Saint Francis leads the all-time series 22-3-0. The Red Flash have won three straight meetings, including a 5-0 victory last season on Oct. 28, 2018 in Loretto.
 
Graham ranks second in NEC in assists
Junior midfielder Dakota Graham (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville Area) ranks second in the NEC in assists with four. Graham is averaging 0.44 assists per game.
 
Defense looking to improve
SFU will look to improve its defense as the Red Flash rank last in the NEC in goals allowed (25) and goals against average (2.63).
 
McGhee moving up the SFU record book
Senior forward Alyssa McGhee (Altoona, Pa./Bishop Guilfoyle) ranks fifth in Saint Francis history in career total points with 64. McGhee has 21 goals and ranks fourth in program history with 22 assists.
