Loretto, Pa. - The Saint Francis women's volleyball team (3-19, 3-7 NEC) fell to first-place Robert Morris (20-3, 10-0 NEC) in straight sets on Wednesday night, 15-25, 14-25, 14-25.
Sophomore
Nicole Adams (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa East) led Saint Francis with 10 kills but the Red Flash were held to a .079 hitting % for the match.Â
Junior
Shannon Thomas (West Chester, Pa./Villa Maria) recorded a double-double with 25 assists and team-highs of 11 digs and two blocks.
The Red Flash started strong, leading 7-4 after a Robert Morris attack error. Senior
Cecilia Esposito (Coraopolis, Pa./Montour) gave Saint Francis its last lead of the set at 8-7 with a kill before Robert Morris started to pull away.
The Colonials won wire-to-wire in the second and third sets.
Saint Francis returns to action on Friday, Nov. 1, vs. Sacred Heart at 7 p.m.
