Game Recap: Women's Volleyball |

First-place Robert Morris downs SFU in three

Moon Township, Pa. - Sophomore Madi Tyus (Plano, TX/Bishop Lynch) notched her sixth double-double of the season with 12 kills and 10 digs and sophomore Keara McGraw (Austin, TX/James Bowie) added eight kills but the Saint Francis women's volleyball team (1-15, 1-3 NEC) fell to Robert Morris (14-3, 4-0 NEC) in three sets (20-25, 12-25, 12-25) on Wednesday night.

The Red Flash rallied from a 10-2 deficit in the first set to pull within one at 17-16 after a kill by sophomore Nicole Adams (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa East). A McGraw kill two plays later kept the deficit at one before the Colonials went on a 6-2 run to seal a 1-0 lead.

Saint Francis led the second set 3-2 after junior Shannon Thomas (West Chester, Pa./Villa Maria) set up McGraw for another kill but it would be their last lead of the match as Robert Morris pulled away in each of the last two sets.

Sophomore Nicole Adams (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa East) finished with five kills and a team-high three service aces, junior Shannon Thomas (West Chester, Pa./Villa Maria) led with 26 assists and freshman Jeanie Edgington (Olmstead Falls, Oh/Olmstead Falls) had two blocks.
