Women's soccer hosts St. Francis Brooklyn for Senior Day Sunday

Loretto, Pa. – Saint Francis women's soccer (6-9-1, 5-4-0 NEC) hosts St. Francis Brooklyn (0-15, 0-8 NEC) for Senior Day on Sunday, Nov. 3 at 12 p.m.

In its first year as a program, the Terriers have definitely experience growing pains. St. Francis Brooklyn has yet to record a win despite several close encounters. The Terriers are coming off a 1-0 loss at Fairleigh Dickinson last Friday. Henriette Lykke leads the teams with four points on a goal and two assists.
 
Series History
This will be the first-ever meeting between the Red Flash and the Terriers.
 
SFU eliminated from NEC playoff contention
Saint Francis is unable to qualify for the NEC Championships this season after a narrow 1-0 defeat at Central Connecticut State this past Sunday. The Red Flash sit in fifth place in the NEC standings with 15 points, but can't pass fourth place Sacred Heart (19 points) with only one game remaining.
 
Honoring a stellar senior class
Saint Francis will honor three seniors prior to Sunday's game. Julia Hernan (Collegeville, Pa./The Hill School), Alyssa McGhee (Altoona, Pa./Bishop Guilfoyle) and Abigail Tarosky (North Huntington, Pa./Norwin) all made big impacts in their careers for the Red Flash.
 
Hernan has appeared in 78 games, recording a program best 24 clean sheets. Julia currently ranks second in the nation in career saves with 411. She served as a team captain this season.
 
McGhee ranks second all-time in program history with 81 career points. Alyssa ranks fifth in school history with 29 career goals and fourth with 23 career assists. She leads the NEC this season with 10 goals and 4 game-winning goals.
 
Tarosky has scored four career goals, while adding 11 assists. Abbey ranks second on the team this season with four assists, including several in key moments of the game. She was also a team captain this season.
