Saint Francis unable to hand Duquesne its first loss of the season

Pittsburgh, Pa –The Duquesne Dukes (3-0) used a hot start to put away the Saint Francis lacrosse team (0-3) 17-2 on Wednesday afternoon. Saint Francis tallied two goals from Livia Baker (Fallston, Md./Fallston High School) and Autumn McHenry (Branford, Conn./Branford).
 
How it happened
 
The Dukes scored 14 straight goals and blanked the Red Flash in the first half of the contest. After halftime, Junior Livia Baker (Fallston, Md./Fallston High School) and freshman Autumn McHenry (Branford, Conn./Branford) scored back-to-back goals for Saint Francis, cutting the deficit to 13. After that, Duquesne responded with two more of its own reclaiming a 15-goal advantage.

  • Livia Baker (Fallston, Md./Fallston High School) (3) and Autumn McHenry (Branford, Conn./Branford) (2) each netted goals for Saint Francis in the second half. 
  • Emileigh Scott (Ellicott City, Md./Howard), Peyton LeConte (Ellicott City, Md./Mt. Hebron), and Lauren Ryan (Fallston, Md./Notre Dame Prep) each won at two or more draw controls for the Red Flash.
  • Ashley Stoessel (Smithtown, N.Y./Smithtown East) and Lindsey Kilian (Woolwich, N.J./Kingsway Regional) each made five saves, while Elyssa Enrique (North Canton, Ohio/Hoover) made nine.
