WASHINGTON, D.C.- The Saint Francis water polo team lost 10-9 to George Washington on Saturday to conclude the George Washington Mini. As General Washington himself narrowly escaped the redcoats on Brooklyn, his namesake school escaped the Red Flash with a buzzer beater goal.

- Ani Aghakhanian (La Crescenta, Calif/La Valley College) added a goal in the second period but the Colonials scored twice for a 3-3 halftime mark.
- In the third period, George Washington scored three goals for a 6-3 lead.
- The Red Flash countered with a run of their own as Enriquez, Breanna Dupperon (Regina, Canada/Campbell Collegiate) and Erin O'Neill (Landsdale, Pa/North Penn) all tallied goals to tie it up at 6-6.
- George Washington scored twice, though, before the third period ended.
- The fourth period witnessed the freshman effect as Dupperon scored twice and Caroline Gillespie (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn High School) tallied once for a 9-9 score.
- The game appeared headed for overtime before a GW goal found the back of the net and the buzzer sounded for a 10-9 Colonial victory.
