SFU heads to Robert Morris for regular season finale

Loretto, Pa. – Saint Francis women's basketball (14-15, 11-6 NEC) heads to archrival Robert Morris (18-10, 15-2 NEC) for the regular season finale on Thursday, March 7 at 6 p.m.

Scouting Robert Morris
The Colonials have secured the top seed in the NEC Tournament and have been dominant for most of conference play. Robert Morris is coming off a loss to red hot Sacred Heart on Monday, 54-45. RMU previously won four-straight before the setback to the Pioneers. Junior Nneka Ezeigbo spearheads the Colonials with 12.4 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. The 6-2 center has been a force for RMU in the paint this season. Sophomore Nina Augustin is a persistent threat from behind the three-point arc, ranking third in the NEC in three-point field goal percentage (41.1%). The Colonials have the best scoring defense in the league, allowing a league low 55.2 ppg. RMU has the best scoring margin in the conference at +7.3.

Series History
Robert Morris leads the all-time series 44-42 with a 28-14 mark over Saint Francis when playing in Moon Township. The Colonials won the last meeting over the Red Flash in a 66-60 victory earlier this season on February 18 at DeGol Arena.

Kovatch moves up all-time NCAA career three-point rankings
Senior Jess Kovatch (Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg) moved into fourth place all-time in NCAA men's or women's basketball history with 459 career three-pointers, passing former Duke great JJ Redick. She now trails only Oakland's Travis Bader (504), Ohio State's Kelsey Mitchell (497) and Wofford's Travis Magee (490).

Zezza leads SFU to league's best shot blocking average
Senior Courtney Zezza (Plum, PA/Plum) has the third most blocked shots in the NCAA this season (83) and ranks third among active career leaders with 294 blocks. She helps pace SFU to an NEC-best 4.4 blocks per game.

Playoff seeding on the line
Saint Francis has already secured a home quarterfinal playoff game as the Red Flash can finish no lower than fourth place in the league standings. With a win against Robert Morris, SFU will be the No. 3 seed for next week's conference tournament. The Red Flash would be the No. 4 seed with a loss and a St. Francis Brooklyn win over CCSU. If both SFU and the Terriers fall on Thursday, the Red Flash could still secure third place with either a Bryant or Sacred Heart loss.
