Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

Red Flash down Blue Devils 13-9

Loretto, Pa – Sophomore midfielder Emileigh Scott (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) netted a career-high seven goals in Friday's 13-9 victory over Central Connecticut State. Scott tied the program record for the second most goals in a single game with teammate Morgan Day (New Park, Pa./Kennard Dale) who scored seven earlier this season at Radford. With the win, the Saint Francis women's lacrosse team improved to 5-9 overall and 2-4 in conference play.

Concheck's Reaction

"Today was a great display of how we can play complete lacrosse and have the ability to be dynamic. We had some beautiful offensive and defensive sets alike. Ashley played outstanding for us as well between the pipes. Our younger athletes have continued to step up as our season has progressed and we are proud of that."

Turning Point

After Emma Sullivan tied the game at three for the Blue Devils Emileigh Scott (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) tallied her third goal of the game sparking a 6-0 scoring run for the Red Flash. Back-to-back goals by CCSU snapped the Red Flash run and trimmed its deficit to four. A goal by Livia Baker (Fallston, Md./Fallston High School) and two from Amanda Heidt (Erie, Pa./Villa Maria Academy) off of Paige Brady (Drexel Hill, Pa./Monsignor Bonner Archbishop Prendergast Catholic) assists pushed the lead to seven, putting the game out of reach for CCSU.
