Brookville, N.Y. – Saint Francis men's soccer (3-4-0, 0-1-0 NEC) saw a two goal first half lead disappear as the Red Flash dropped a 3-2 overtime decision at LIU (4-4-0, 1-0-0 NEC) on Friday in the NEC opener.
SFU's
Juan Gomez (Marbella, Spain) scored the game's first goal from short range off a
Felix Tonne (Kolbotn, Norway) assist in the 19
th minute.
Lucas Rosa (Atibaia, Brazil/COC Atibaia) then added a penalty kick goal to give the Red Flash a 2-0 lead in the 44
th minute.
LIU responded with a goal in the 50
th minute and the Sharks tacked on an equalizer in the 83
rd minute. LIU then scored the game-winner in the 94
th minute to complete the comeback.
