Tonne's two goals lift Red Flash to 2-0 win over ODU

Norfolk, Va. – Saint Francis freshman forward Felix Tonne (Kolbotn, Norway/) scored two goals to lift the Red Flash (1-1-0) to a 2-0 victory over Old Dominion (0-3-0) on Sunday at the ODU Soccer Complex.

"I am proud of the team's response as we start the season," head coach Frank Olszewski said. "The whole group put in an effort this past week and it paid off. There were good performances across the board and when guys came into the game, they were ready to make an impact. Hard work and fighting for each other is what it takes."

  • Tonne connected on a goal in the 55th minute off an assist from Kevin Smolyn (Holland, PA/Germantown Academy) to break a scoreless tie
  • Just over six minutes later, Tonne used an assist from Renan Fuentes (Sao Paolo, Brazil/Colegio Joao XXIII) to find the back of the next for a second time
