SCOUTING THE LADY LIONS
Penn State begins its second season under the direction of Carolyn Kieger. The Lady Lions sit outside of the top five in the Big10 preseason coaches' poll after finishing the 2019-20 campaign at 7-23 overall and 1-17 in conference play. Non-conference wins in 2019-20 included wins over Clemson and Pittsburgh.

The Lady Lions lost both of its top scorers and rebounders from last season's team but return sophomore guards Makenna Marisa and Shay Hagans. Marisa started all but one game for PSU during her freshman season and was third on the team in point production (9.2 ppg). She also ranked second among Penn State players in assists (68), steals (38), three-pointers made (39) and minutes per game (32.7). Hagans made 13 starts during the 2019-20 campaign, averaging 24.4 minutes per game throughout the season as she played good minutes off the bench when not in the starting five.
