Red Flash ready to host Robert Morris Monday night

Loretto, Pa. – Saint Francis women's basketball (11-14, 9-5 NEC) renews its in-state rivalry with Robert Morris (18-6, 13-0 NEC) when the Red Flash host the Colonials on Monday, Feb. 17 at 7 p.m.
 
Scouting Robert Morris
The Colonials are undefeated in NEC play and are coming off a 53-35 win over Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday. The Colonials have only played in two conference games this season that were decided by single digits. RMU's closest calls came at the beginning of league play in a 68-62 win over Merrimack on Jan. 4 and a 51-47 victory over Wagner on Jan. 11. The Colonials are averaging 66.3 ppg, while allowing 53.4 ppg. Senior Nneka Ezeigbo paces the team in scoring with 14.3 ppg, while junior Ire Ozzy-Momodu is second in scoring (9.4 ppg) and first in rebounding (8.7 rpg).
 
Series History
Robert Morris leads the all-time series history 46-42 and has won the past three meetings with Saint Francis. The Colonials defeated the Red Flash 65-54 in the NEC Championship game last season on Mar. 17, 2019 in Moon Township, Pa.
 
Benzel shooting lights out from long-range
Redshirt sophomore Lili Benzel (Altoona, PA/Bishop Guilfoyle (Shippensburg)) has been on fire for the Red Flash from three-point range over the past two contests. Benzel scored 12 points on 4-of-6 from behind the arc at Mount St. Mary's. The Altoona, Pa. native scored a season-high 13 points on 3-of-7 from deep in a win at Sacred Heart.
 
NEC playoff picture
Robert Morris (13-0) and Mount St. Mary's (10-2) occupy the top two places in the NEC standings. Merrimack (9-4) moved into third place with a win over Wagner on Saturday. The Warriors are unable to qualify for the postseason due to its NCAA reclassification period. Saint Francis (9-5) sits in fourth in the standings following its loss to Mount St. Mary's. Bryant (6-6) currently stands in fifth place.
