Loretto, Pa. – The Saint Francis men's basketball team (18-8, 11-4) continues its pursuit of the top overall seed in the NEC Tournament on Sunday when it hosts LIU at 4 p.m. The Red Flash is looking for its seventh consecutive win and will honor its five seniors in a pregame ceremony.
Scouting LIU
The Sharks are 7-7 with one game to play before Sunday's contest. LIU can get up and down the floor and rank second in the NEC in scoring (76.6ppg), only behind the Red Flash (78.1 ppg). LIU takes and makes a lot of three-pointers, leading the conference in attempts (265) and makes per game (9.81). Senior Raiquan Clark leads the Sharks and the Northeast Conference in scoring at 20.0 ppg to go with 7.4 rpg. Ty Flowers is another dangerous player, averaging 14.4 ppg and 10.1 rpg.
Series History
LIU took a 38-37 series lead with an 86-81 win in Brooklyn in January. Saint Francis tied the game late before Jermaine Jackson Jr. won it with a three-pointer in the final seconds. Clark led the Sharks with 28 points and Jackson had 24 on five of LIU's 13 threes.

Isaiah Blackmon (Charlotte, N.C./West Charlotte) continues to scorch conference opponents, leading the league in scoring in such games at 21.6 ppg. The senior registered his ninth game with 20 or more points in league play with a career-high 30 in a win at Robert Morris. Blackmon's 30 points were the most by an SFU player since
Jamaal King (Salisbury, Md./Bishop O'Connell (Va.)) scored 31 in an overtime loss to Mount St. Mary's on Jan. 13, 2018. Blackmon is shooting it at a ridiculous clip, shooting 47.1% from three-point range in conference.

The Saint Francis men's basketball program has won 18 or more games in three consecutive seasons for the first time since 1949-50 – 1951-52. Saint Francis is on the threshold of its first 20-win seasons since the 1990-91 NEC Championship team won 24. The Red Flash have also won 11 or more conference games in four straight seasons for the first time in program history.
