LORETTO, Pa. – The Saint Francis men's volleyball team (1-5, 0-0) went down in three sets against No. 4 Lewis (4-0, 0-0) Friday afternoon in Loretto.

COACH RUMBAUGH'S COMMENTS
"I love to see the improvement we've made since last week, our performance was still respectable in my mind, taking the number four team to the end of each set."
HOW IT HAPPENED
SET ONE
· The Red Flash kept the score close until SFU jumped ahead 7-4 after an out of bounds hit from Lewi.
· A kill from Joshua Blair tied the score at 20, then another SFU point forced a Lewis timeout. The Red Flash led 21-20.
· A big A.J. Schmidt kill tied it at 24-24 before Lewis scored the final two to take set one, 26-24.
SET TWO
· Lewis jumped out to a quick 5-1 lead early in the second match after an SFU error.
· A three-point run by the Red Flash brought them within 5.
· A big serving ace by Roman Szwabinsky got the Red Flash to 20, but a SFU serving error gave Lewis their final point to take the second set.
SET THREE
· After a much-needed momentum-shifting serving ace by Michael Fisher, the Red Flash tied it up 4-4 early in the third set. The Red Flash would then pull ahead after Josh Blair dropped one in to take a tight lead, 5-4.
· The Red Flash tied it at 10 after a Lewis serving error and a Fisher drop in. After two Lewis errors, the Red Flash went up once again 12-10 middle of the third set.
· After a big Szwabinsky block, the Red Flash tied the set up at 15.
· A Lewis timeout was sparked by a two-point rally by SFU after an AJ Schmidt kill put SFU within 1. Lewis led 21-20.
· SFU cut stayed close at 24-23, but the Flyers scored the final point to get the sweep.
STATS
· Michael Fisher led SFU with nine kills. Blake Liprando added eight and AJ Schmidt added seven.
· Roman Szwabinsky led the Red Flash with 27 assists.
· Lewis held the advantage in team blocks, 7.0-5.0.
· Kills: Lewis 42, SFU 31
· Assists: Lewis 38, SFU 28
· Hitting Percentage: Lewis .214, SFU .102

GAME NOTES
· The win moves Lewis' winning streak to four against the Red Flash, and the all-time series is 20-2 Lewis.
