TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
After an LIU foul deep in their own territory, Saint Francis had the opportunity for a free kick just outside the box.
Piet Wesling was able to fire a missile-like shot that just snuck past LIU's goalkeeper in the right side of the net to give the Red Flash a 3-2 lead, this would end up being the game-winning goal for Saint Francis in the 88th minute.
FLASH MOMENTS
Just three minutes into the contest,
Lorenz Ender was able to capitalize off of a beautiful centering pass from Jeff Thielman to make it 1-0 early on against the Sharks. Just eight minutes later,
Maximus Rigby was able to find the back of the net to make the score 2-0 early on in the first half of play.Â
FLASH NUGGETS
LIU was able to make the second half difficult for the Red Flash with two goals of their own to tie the game at 2.Â
After the last minute victory, Saint Francis now improves to 3-4 in NEC play this year.
Also, after today's match the Red Flash haven't lost a home finale since the 2009 season.Â
