MOUNT JOY, Pa. – The Saint Francis bowling team is set to participate in the first NEC meet of the season in Mount Joy, Pa. This will be the first of two NEC regular season outings prior to the postseason tournament.

THE COMPETITION
The Red Flash will take on two top-25 teams over the weekend in No. 7 Mount and No. 20 FDU. On Friday, SFU will begin the weekend with Wagner.
This is Wagner's inaugural season, and they were able to upset Mount in bakers matches in their first weekend, ultimately losing the weekend 2-1. In their own Seahawks Invitational the next weekend, Wagner placed third out of four teams behind Mount and Long Island.
Mount enters the weekend ranked No. 7 in the country after the Seahawks Invitational win. The Mountaineers have played in four tournaments already, placing first in the Mount Shootout, third in the CSU Invitational, and second in the Northeast Invite before the win at Wagner.
Fairleigh Dickinson earned the No. 20 national ranking by beginning their season 9-1 after the first weekend. The Knights participated in the Garden State Classic, where they placed first out of six teams.
LAST TIME OUT
Last weekend, the Red Flash placed 11th in its first event of the season in Stratford, N.J. The final day of the tournament, Sunday, was canceled due to increment weather, resulting in the Saturday's standings becoming final. Winning the tournament was North Carolina A&T, with NEC foes Duquesne, Mt. St. Mary's, Long Island, and Sacred Heart finishing second, fourth, seventh, and ninth, respectively.
