LORETTO, PA. – Saint Francis takes the Sunday split on senior day in Loretto. The Red Flash dropped the first match of the day to Michigan but came back strong in the afternoon to take down Mount St. Mary's.
Michigan 13, Saint Francis 5
The Wolverines took the early lead as they jumped out 4-0 after the first quarter. SFU got on the board with a
Taylor Halbauer goal to make it 8-1 at halftime. U-M continued their run notching two more in the third quarter but not before the Red Flash struck back with three finding the back of the net to make the score 10-4 heading into the final quarter. SFU was only able to tally one more and Michigan notched three more to take the win, 13-5.
- Halbauer was the top scorer of the game with two finding the back of the net.
- Sophomores Haiden Lang, Addison Williams and Abbie Carter each notched a goal to round out the scoring for SFU
- Sophomore Heather Jacobson started in front of the net and split time as junior Rosalinda Rivera took over for the second half
- Jacobson tallied four saves in here 16 minutes of play
- Rivera as well saved four goals in the matchup against the Wolverines
- SFU accumulated eight exclusions
Saint Francis 18, Mount St. Mary's 7
Saint Francis handed Mount St. Mary's their second loss of the day and 11
th on the season thus far. SFU jumped out to an early commanding lead, taking a five-goal lead, 6-1, at the conclusion of the first quarter. The Red Flash defense brought the heat as they kept the Mount scoreless in the second quarter, and jumped ahead with a five-goal run, to an 11-1 score heading into halftime. Mount St. Mary's added three but not before SFU found the back of the cage five more times to make it 16-4 after the third quarter. The Red Flash sealed the deal adding two more goals and the Mountaineers adding three to give SFU the 18-7 win.
- Six different Red Flash players notched a goal in the matchup against the Mountaineers
- Junior Rosalinda Rivera notched a goal on senior day
- Rivera and sophomore Haley Sanko split time in between the net for SFU.
- Freshman Emese Szucs was the leading scorer for the Red Flash with five against the Mountaineers
- Freshman Jenna Handali scored the second most with four
- Sophomore's Taylor Halbauer and Madeleine Voss each had three that found the back of the net.
- Sophomore Addison Williams rounds out the Red Flash scorers with two against the Mount.
- SFU tallied 12 exclusions

th to take on CWPA competitors #6 Michigan once again and #20 Bucknell for the first time this season at 11:30 am and 2:30 pm.
