Red Flash Opens NEC Play With Two Shutouts Against Wagner

LORETTO, Pa. – The Saint Francis softball team (17-6, 2-0 NEC) opened conference play with two shutouts against Wagner (6-4, 2-4 NEC). The Red Flash won game one by a 3-0 margin and game two by a 1-0 margin as Grace Vesco and Rachel Marsden each pitched a shutout. Brittney Crawford's home run in game two proved to be the difference.

THOUGHTS
Head Coach Jessica O'Donnell: "I thought our team pulled out two tough wins today. Grace and Rachel pitched very well and our defense was sharp. We do need to do a better job offensively of making adjustments at the plate, but I have no doubt our team will respond. Great way to start conference play."
