EMMITSBURG, Md. – The No. 24 Saint Francis water polo team set program single-game record for goals and margin of victory in a 19-5 win over Mount St. Mary's to cap off the final day of regular-season competition Saturday.
The Red Flash bounced back from a loss to No. 21 Bucknell to begin the day by putting together a complete performance in the win over the host Mountaineers. Seven different Red Flash players found the back of the net in today's two matchups, led by eight from sophomore
Taylor Halbauer and seven from sophomore
Addison Williams.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The teams went back and forth with the first four tallies, as sophomore Haiden Lang and Halbauer answered strikes from the Bison to pull even at two. A Williams goal put the Red Flash ahead 3-2 through the first eight minutes.
- Bucknell knotted the contest at three before freshman Emese Szucs put SFU back in front 4-3.
- Goals from junior Julia Bradford and Williams added to the second-period effort, but a six-goal stanza for the Bison gave Bucknell an 8-6 halftime lead.
- Sophomore Madeleine Voss opened the second-half scoring, but the Red Flash were held off the board the rest of the period, as Bucknell led 10-7 through three.
- Halbauer added two more in the fourth quarter before the Bison built their largest lead of the day.
STATS/NOTES
- Six Red Flash players found the back of the net, led by three from Halbauer. Williams chipped in with two and Lang, Szucs, Bradford, and Voss all added one each.
- The Red Flash made nine goals on 24 attempts (37.5%).
- SFU was 1-for-1 in penalty shots.
- Williams recorded the only two assists for the Red Flash.
- Lang, Szucs, and Voss all each drew an exclusion, while Szucs and Voss added a steal each.
- Junior Rosalinda Rivera played all four quarters of the matchup, allowing 14 goals and making 13 saves for a .464 save percentage.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Halbauer found the goal in the opening 15 seconds of play to kickstart a 5-0 first period. Szucs, Halbauer, Voss, and Williams added goals in the quarter.
- A Voss goal extended the opening stretch to 6-0 before the Mountaineers got on the board.
- Szucs and Williams added goals, with Williams' coming on a penalty shot, to give the Red Flash an 8-1 halftime lead.
- The Mount notched a goal out of the half, but two goals from Williams and one from sophomore Abbie Carter made it 11-2 SFU. The teams each added a goal before the close of the third.
- Halbauer added two more to put the Red Flash in front 14-3 with 6:32 left to play.
- The Red Flash added five more goals in the closing minutes to top the teams' last meeting for the program's top scoring output
STATS/NOTES
- Williams and Halbauer led the way with five goals each, while Szucs added four. Carter and Voss added two apiece and Bradford tallied one.
- The 19-goal performance bested an 18-goal outing against the Mountaineers on March 21 in the Stokes Natatorium.
- The 14-goal margin of victory also surpasses the second March meeting between the teams.
- The five goals allowed were the fewest in program history against a CWPA opponent.
