GAME NOTES VS. ST. FRANCIS BROOKLYN
need to know… The game between Saint Francis and its Franciscan brethren St. Francis Brooklyn marks the 87th meeting in the all-time series dating back to the 1929-30 season.
• The two teams split the season series last season in Loretto with the Terriers taking a 70-67 decision in the first matchup and the Red Flash winning the second tilt, 80-66.
• The series home and the road have identical records with the home team enjoying home cooking with a 27-15 advantage.
• It will be the first game in Brooklyn since St. Francis Brooklyn earned a n 86-79 win in 2019-20.
• Head coach
Rob Krimmel is 8-10 against the Terriers. The Red Flash has won seven of the last 10 meetings in the series, but have lost the last two on the road.

road warriors' part duex... After playing at home for the last 10 days, Saint Francis will hit the road for its second four-game road trip of the season. The Red Flash will have spent 21 of the 45 days over the span of December 4-January 17 on the road riding on a bus or a hotel.
• It will also mark the seventh time the Loretto program will play four straight conference games on the road, joining the 1988-89, 1992-93, 1993-94, 1998-99, 1999-00, 2004-05 and 2006-07 teams.

• The Terriers have won three of its last five games. Both St. Francis Brooklyn and Saint Francis played Hartford this season. The Red Flash earned an 81-66 decision against the Hawks on Dec. 14, while the Terriers fell 68-55 on Dec. 5.

Tedrick Wilcox, Jr. paced the Terriers against the Blue Devils with 27 points and six rebounds.

Josh Cohen ranks 19th in NCAA Division I in field goal percentage through games on Tuesday . Cohen is in the rankings based on three made field goals per game with his 66.7 percent. The redshirt sophomore sat in second place for the week prior to the Illinois game for five made field goals per game.
• The team also ranks in the Top-100 nationally in three categories. The squad is 62nd in offensive rebounds per game (12.15), 76th in turnover margin (+2.5).
• The Red Flash was ranked in the Top-100 in both fewest turnovers and assist-to-turnover ratio, but fell out of both categories after registering 29 turnovers in the last two games.
trending up... With three-straight home games, sophomore
Maxwell Land has been trending up because he has recorded some of his best numbers at home this year. The sophomore is the only player that has scored double figures at home this season and is averaging 13.7 points per game at DeGol Arena.
•Land has registered five of his seven 10+ point games on the road, but his two games in double figures away from Loretto was a pair of 15-point performances at Ohio University (Dec. 4) and Hartford (Dec. 14). While he is averaging 7.0 points per game on the road this season, the sophomore's splits were reversed last year with six of his nine 10+ game taking place on the road.

Josh Cohen reached double figures for the seventh time this season and the first time in five games. Cohen had six 10+ point games in his first nine games. The sophomore also finished with seven or more rebounds for the sixth time this season with his nine caroms against Fairleigh Dickinson. Cohen has reversed stats than Land with five of his seven games on the road including in five of his last six tilts.
• Senior
Marlon Hargis has started the last two games and is averaging 12.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game in that span. Hargis has posted double figures in consecutive games in four of the six time he has reached the mark. He missed the trick by one point against Fairleigh Dickinson to mark the first time he did not reach the feat and had the opportunity to attempt the feat. He posted 12 points against Mount St. Mary's in the season finale last season, but did not have a chance to post10+ in consecutive games.

Ronell Giles had his streak of nine-straight games in double figures snapped against Fairleigh Dickinson on Friday. The sophomore, who was averaging 15.1 points per game in that stretch, also had his streak of seven-straight 10+ games at DeGol Arena stopped too. Giles was averaging 14.7 points per game in his last seven games in Loretto.

Ramiir Dixon-Conover was held to single digits for the third time this season and sixth time since joining the starting lineup at the start of last season. Dixon-Conover was held to single digits in consecutive games he played for the second time in his career, but the first in consecutive games on the schedule. The last time he was held under 10 points in back-to-back games he missed three games due to an injury in between 10+ games. Dixon-Conover has not been held to single digits in three-straight games since joining the starting lineup last year. The redshirt senior is averaging 13.0 points per game in the game after he is held to single digits.

• Dixon-Conover is a stat stuffer and has grabbed five rebounds 23 times in his career including eight times this season.
• He also has 10 games this season with at least three assists and 44 in his career, and eight games with at least two steals in 2020-21 and 36 times in his career.
• Dixon-Conover became the sixth player in the nation to register 13 points, five rebounds, five assists and five steals in a game against a Division I opponent against Hartford on Dec. 18. He had a career-high six steals in the tilt against the Hawks.

• Flagg has 838 career points, and needs 162 points to reach 1,000 for his career.
• Flagg reached 100 assists for his career after dishing out three assists against Wagner on Dec. 29.
•Thompson is 158 points away from 1,000 points. The team has 17 games left including postseason and Thompson would need to average 9.3 points per game to reach the milestone.
• Thompson needs 72 rebounds to reach 500 caroms for his career, currently sitting at 428 boards for his career.

Rob Krimmel. The squad is 92-49 overall when it posts 70 on the scoreboard, including 42-35 (70-79 points), 38-12 (80-89 points), 12-2 (90-99 points) and 10-0 (over 100 points) in a game.
• The squad is also 105-30 when leading at halftime, and 92-54 when it had more free throws than the opponent.
• Defensively, the team is 73-31 when it allows under 69 points in a game. This season, the team is 4-0 after allowing 54 points against Franciscan,68 points to Lehigh, 67 points to Bucknell and 66 points against Hartford.
first collegiate points... Freshman
Brendan Scanlon, the lone newcomer on the team, notched his first collegiate action against Franciscan on Nov. 15. The freshman registered a pair of rebounds and received a huge ovation when he scored off the glass with 27 seconds left for his first collegiate points.
preseason poll... Saint Francis was picked eighth in the Northeast Conference preseason poll. Wagner College received seven of the 10 first place votes to be selected as the preseason favorite. Bryant University picked up two first place nods to finish second, while Mount St. Mary's University earned the final first place selection to place fourth. Long Island University, Merrimack College, Sacred Heart University, St. Francis Brooklyn, the Red Flash, Fairleigh Dickinson University and Central Connecticut State rounded out the 10-team poll.

Rob Krimmel has assembled a coaching staff with strong ties to Saint Francis.
• Krimmel, a 2000 graduate of Saint Francis, was an Academic All-American.

Eric Taylor, a 1998 graduate, was a three-time All-NEC selection, ranks 23rd in program history in points (1,287) and fifth in rebounding (967).
• Graduate assistants
Ronnie Drinnon, an All-NEC first team selection as a senior and
Jamaal King, who was named to the all-conference first team in his last two seasons, both played for Krimmel and also have etched their name into Saint Francis lore. King ranks 10th in program history in points (1,517 points) while Drinnon is 11th in rebounding (804). Drinnon graduated from Saint Francis in 2016 and King graduated in 2019.
• Assistant coach
Luke McConnell, a 2012 Saint Francis graduate, played on the Red Flash football team as a student-athlete. McConnell is the son of former Saint Francis men's basketball head coach Tom McConnell (1992-99), while his cousin T.J. McConnell is in his seventh season in the NBA.
