» Saint Francis University men's volleyball defeated the Eagles of Juniata College in straight sets on Friday in an exhibition match to start the 2022 season.
» Nathan Zini (Pittsburgh, Pa./Seton-La Salle Catholic) led the Red Flash in kills on the day with five and collected three digs to put up a hitting percentage of .667.
» This meeting was the first time in almost ten years the two teams have faced each other. The last time being on Feb. 3, 2012. The Red Flash won that game in straight sets as well.
TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
After the Red Flash won the first set, 25-14 that was just the spark the team needed to claim the straight set victory of Juniata College.
FLASH MOMENTS
Although the Eagles got on the board first in each set, the Red Flash were able to maintain control throughout the entire game. Saint Francis University claimed its biggest lead of the game in the first set for an 11-point lead to claim the first set, 25-14.

The only time the Eagles led in the game was at the beginning of each set. Once the Red Flash got on top at the beginning of each set, there was no turning back for the Loretto program.

The Red Flash controlled the game by putting up a combined total of 44 points. Whereas the Eagles trailed in points to collect 17 overall.

Eight Red Flash men's volleyball players collected one serving ace a piece on the night.

The Red Flash and the Eagles have competed against each other in a total of ten games since 2008 with a record of 6-4 in favor of the Red Flash. However, Saint Francis University remains undefeated at home against Juniata College.
