FLASH QUOTES
"I thought after the way the team played on Thursday this team responded against LIU. We talked a lot about consistency today and we played well enough to win. We executed the things that we needed to offensively and came just a few points short, but I am proud of their effort today."
– head coach Rob Krimmel on the game
"I think that the one thing that people lose sight of is that 18-22-year-old kids should go out there and compete, they should play hard and absolutely they should do those things and they did that today. But the way they responded tonight and knowing what they had to go through today with the challenges they face individually off the court they very easily could have folded. I'm proud of this group, and we will continue to battle. I told the team that I do not enjoy the struggle, but I enjoy the battle."
– Krimmel on understanding his team
"The challenge is to keep putting your best foot forward with our group good things will happen. It's a challenge for us to understand it and the next step is to embrace it. You have to have a short-term memory when you go from Thursday to Saturday, but this is one that you got to remember, got to bottle up because of that energy, that effort and togetherness. Today we played for one another and that challenge is to continue to build on that and continue to play for one another and put our best foot forward. That is the consistency that we are looking for going forward."
– Krimmel on learning from this game and moving forward
