Women's Soccer Picks Up Shutout Win at St. Francis Brooklyn

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>> The Red Flash pick up their first road win of the season as they defeat St. Francis Brooklyn 1-0.
>> Tomke Dziesiaty had the game deciding goal which was her fifth of the season.
>> Sarah McConnon had one save as she notched her fifth shutout of the year for the Red Flash.

TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
The deciding factor in the match came in the 17th minute when Lauren Pyle set up Dziesiaty nicely in the middle of the field to sneak the ball past the Terriers goalkeeper. After that goal the Red Flash defense went on lockdown not allowing St. Francis Brooklyn to get many opportunities for the remainder of the match. The Saint Francis defense didn't allow the Terriers to record a single shot on goal in the second half of play which helped lead the team to victory.

FLASH NUGGETS
Colletta Ozbey led Saint Francis with two shots on goal as she almost got a score of her own midway through the first half.

This is the first time the Red Flash have recorded five shutouts in a season since 2018, which was also the last time Saint Francis made it to the NEC Tournament.

UP NEXT
The Red Flash will come back home for the final time in the regular season as they play host to LIU this Sunday afternoon. The match is scheduled for 12 p.m. as it will also be Alumni Day with Saint Francis honoring the former players of the Red Flash during halftime.
