Women's Volleyball to Host FDU

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>> Saint Francis University women's volleyball will have a single-game home weekend to take on Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday, October 22 at 5:00 p.m.

THE WORD ON FDU
The Knights are 11-12 overall and 5-2 in the Northeast Conference (NEC) to stand at third in the conference. Just like the Red Flash, the Knights went 1-1 last weekend. However, it was an opposite effect for FDU as the Knights took a loss to St. Francis Brooklyn in four and defeated Long Island in three sets, while the Red Flash defeated St. Francis Brooklyn, but took a loss to Long Island.
 
Kylie Nott leads the Knights offensively with 211 kills on the season, while Sofia Rampazzo leads FDU with 24 service aces this season. Hannah Schmidt leads the team as a setter with 452 assists on the season. Tatijana Fucka and Allegra Rivas lead the Knights defensively, Fucka with 63 blocks and Rivas with 207 digs this season.
 
LAST TIME WE MET FDU
Earlier this season, the Red Flash were defeated by the Knights in straight sets in Hackensack, N.J. However, the Red Flash hold the overall advantage to the Knights at 34-28.
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Red Flash went 1-1 last weekend after taking a four-set loss to Long Island but claiming the five-set victory over St. Francis Brooklyn.
 
Korrin Burns was named the NEC Rookie of the Week after her stellar performance last weekend. Burns is the only NEC Rookie to earn the title three times this season.
 
Emma Fenton and Madi Tyus both also earned a spot on the NEC Prime Performer list this week after Fenton notched 96 assists and Tyus posted 36 kills for the Red Flash last weekend.
 
Fenton continues to lead the Red Flash as a setter with 653 assists on the season, while also leading defensively with 188 digs this season. Tyus leads the team offensively with 199 kills on the season, while Aubrey Deptula leads the team with 57 blocks and 28 service aces.
 
UP NEXT
Following this weekend's match to the Knights, the Red Flash will the hit the road to Massachusetts to take on Stonehill on Friday, Oct. 28 and Merrimack on Saturday, Oct. 29.
