Men’s Soccer Senior Day Draw Against Stonehill; Clinches Spot in NEC Tournament

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>> Saint Francis men's soccer kept their four-match unbeaten streak alive Sunday afternoon on Senior Day in a scoreless draw against Northeast Conference opponent Stonehill at the Stokes Soccerplex.
 
>> With the tie, the Red Flash move to 6-5-3 overall and 3-2-2 in the NEC. In the last five matches, the team has gone 3-0-2.
 
>> The team has clinched a berth in the NEC Tournament. The last time the Red Flash made the postseason was in 2019.

TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
The Red Flash had control of play for most of the match with 14 shots and 6 shots on goal. The best scoring opportunity for Saint Francis came in the 50th minute off of a Julian Jakopovic (Stuttgart, Germany/Schickhardt-Gymnasium Stuttgart) penalty kick. Quinn O'Hearn (Nantucket, Mass./Darlington) headed the ball to Lorenz Ender (Ulm, Germany/North Kingstown) who tapped the ball to an open Milan Djajic (Belgrade, Serbia/Rudjer Boskovic). Djajic fired a shot just wide of the net.
