Red Flash Fall In NEC Quarterfinal Matchup Against Fairleigh Dickinson

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>> The Red Flash battled all 90 minutes but were unable to get past Fairleigh Dickinson in the NEC quarterfinals by a score of 2-1.
>> Jaela House scored her first goal of the season to tie it at one with just under eight minutes remaining in the match.
>> Goalkeeper Sarah McConnon was busy all afternoon and recorded a season-high 14 saves to lead Saint Francis.

TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
After the match was tied up at one a piece it was just four minutes later the Knights took the lead and held it for the victory. The Red Flash were out shot but didn't give up as they managed to keep the Knights off balance especially in the final ten minutes of play.

FLASH NUGGETS
Claire Miko had a season-high three shots on goal for Saint Francis after starting her second match this season.

This was the best season statistically that the Red Flash have had since the 2018 season when they also reached the NEC Tournament.

Corinne Renninger is the only player on the Red Flash who was on that 2018 team, and now in her fifth season she got to experience reaching the postseason again.

In her first season as head coach Sara Butler was able to have her team reach the postseason, a feat that hasn't been accomplished at Saint Francis since Michael Coll reached the NEC Tournament in 2001 during his first season.
