LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University women's basketball dropped a close 49-50 loss to the Bears of Morgan State on Tuesday. The Red Flash led for the entire second half until a final free throw from Morgan State secured the Bears the lead and win.

TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
The start off the game seemed to be a back-and-forth battle between both teams. However, the Red Flash found it stride in the second quarter by notching a 13-0 run and another 8-0 run to hold the Bears to just eight points in the second quarter.
The Bears found its way back into the game in the second half by posting a 12-4 run at the start of the third quarter to come back within six and eventually come within four at the end of the third.
The fourth quarter saw a lot of action from both teams with a couple of tied scores, but Saint Francis never let Morgan State take the lead in the second half until the final score. With the Red Flash up 49-45, the Bears recorded a 5-0 run to claim the one-point win over Saint Francis.

Ward's 14 points on Tuesday was a new game high for the Freshman.
Saint Francis held the largest lead in the game at having 14 points over the Bears at the half.
