All-Time vs. Georgetown
Georgetown holds a 9-3 all-time advantage over Saint Francis since the first meeting in 1978. Since both programs moved to Division I in 1993, the programs have an even 1-1 split. Most recently, Saint Francis took a 48-20 lead in the 2015 season-opener at home. The 2015 meeting was the only matchup between the two programs that featured anyone on the current Saint Francis coaching staff. Georgetown head coach Rob Sgarlata, now in his 26th overall season, was the defensive line coach during a 36-7 Hoyas victory in 2004.

Around the NEC
Saint Francis clinched the NEC automatic qualifier to the FCS playoffs after a 44-14 defeat of Sacred Heart and Duquesne's 50-48 double-overtime loss to LIU. Merrimack defeated Stonehill in a comeback 17-10 victory to remain 5-0 in conference. Central Connecticut earned its first win of the season 34-7 over Wagner. Merrimack is ineligible for NCAA-run playoffs, but can still be crowned NEC Champions. As a result, Saint Francis' meeting with Merrimack in the final week of the season on Nov. 19 will determine the official NEC winner. This week, Merrimack has a bye week while Saint Francis wraps up non-conference play at Georgetown. Sacred Heart and Duquesne, Wagner and Stonehill and Central Connecticut will all face off in conference matchups.

Doyle Named NCAA FCS Player of the Week
Doyle, a redshirt sophomore, was named NCAA FCS National Player of the Week and honorable mention for FedEx Ground Offensive Player of the Week for his role in the 44-14 win over Sacred Heart. He became the second Saint Francis player with a national weekly honor this season after Jackson was named FedEx Ground FCS National Freshman of the Week on Sept. 19.

Saint Francis Named FedEx Ground FCS National Team of the Week
The Red Flash were named the FedEx Ground National Team of the Week by Stats Perform. Saint Francis became the first team in the FCS to clinch an automatic bid to the postseason after a 44-14 win over Sacred Heart and Duquesne's 50-48 double-overtime loss to LIU. Saint Francis clinched the playoffs for the second time in program history, the other in 2016. The 6-2 start to the season is the best in the Division I era and a 5-0 start to conference play ties the 2016 team for the best start.

Doyle, Sarratt Earn Major NEC Weekly Awards, Three Prime Performers
Doyle was named NEC Offensive Player of the Week and Sarratt was named NEC Co-Rookie of the Week. Holmes joined the two players as a Prime Performer selection.
