Saint Bonaventure took the advantage from the start of the second half and never let go of the lead again to earn the victory.

FLASH MOMENTS
Trailing 27-15, the Red Flash closed the first half on a 17-5 run over the final eight minutes to go into the locker room tied at 32. Land and McCabe each had five points in the run and Cohen added four points. McCabe hit a 3-pointer with 19 seconds left to give the Red Flash its first lead since early in the first half.

Cohen notched his fifth 20-point performance of his career and his is averaging 19.1 points per game in his last eight games with four 20-point games dating back to last season. He now has 23 games with at least 10 points and 32 games with at least five rebounds.

Land, who had a career nine rebounds twice in his career coming into the season, registered 10 rebounds for the first time in his career and with his 11 points notched his first career double-double.

McCabe recorded fourth 10-point game of his career with all of those performances coming in his last nine games.

Saint Francis was playing on the road for the 11th time under Krimmel. It was the second time the Red Flash played St. Bonaventure in the season opener and the first time since the 2016-17 season. It was also the sixth time the squad has opened the season against an Atlantic-10 opponent and the fourth occasion the team opened the year in the state of New York under Krimmel.
