TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
After the Red Flash went on a 12-2 run to take its final lead at 53-51 with 12:12 on the clock, the Colonials went on a 16-4 run to grab a double-digit lead and go on for the fourth-straight win in the series.Â
FLASH QUOTES
"I thought in the first half we came out and played with some good fights and some fire. They made a run at us in the second half and we came back and responded, but over the course of the second half we did not execute. We have had six assists and five turnovers in the first half and in the second half we had one assist and eight turnovers. We didn't execute offensively so we didn't have a chance to switch defenses or change things up because we were always back on our heels."Â
– head coach Rob Krimmel on the game
Â
"Certainly we had a tough non-conference schedule. The challenge for us is to come back in on December 26 and be more locked in and be more focused to ready for our first conference game. I think our guys learned a lot over the course of our first 13 games. Now we need to take those moments and stack good days and put ourselves in position to play more consistently."Â
– Krimmel on non-conference play and going into NEC play
Â
"To see Ronell to play with that confidence is important because he has been out and trying to get his feet under him. It is different in practice, but to have that success in a game is a good thing. To see the way he did it is something that as we go into league play gives us more depth, gives us another ball handler, gives us another guy that can make shots."Â
– Krimmel on the play of Ronell Giles, Jr. in the gameÂ

FLASH MOMENTS
Trailing 7-6, the Red Flash went on an 7-1 run to take a 14-9 lead. Moore had five points in the spurt while

Â
Saint Francis scored 10 of 16 points to cut the margin from five point to a point at 27-26 with 5:30 on the clock. Giles hit two from downtown in the run to notch a pair of field goals for the first time this season.
Â
Moore went on a 5-0 run on his own early in the second half to erase a 41-36 deficit and knot the score at 41 with 18:29 left in the game. Robert Morris retook the advantage and extended its margin to 49-41 lead with 17:07 remaining. The Loretto program then went on a 12-2 spurt to take the advantage for the final time at 53-51 right before the under 12 media timeout. FLASH NUGGETS
Cohen amassed a new career-high in rebounds after grabbing 12 rebounds twice in his career, including against Saint Vincent on December 8. The redshirt junior has reached double figures in all 13 of the non-conference games this season and his last 20 games dating back to last season. He also had six games with at least 20 points this season and nine tilts in his last 20 games. He also notched his third double-double of the season and third in his last five games. It is the second time in his career that he has registered a double-double with a 20-point game after posting a then career-high 26 points and 10 rebounds against Merrimack on February 5, 2022. He is also the first player to register three-straight games of 20 points or more since Keith Braxton turned the trick in the 2019-20 season. Cohen is averaging 32.7 points and 10.3 rebounds per game during the three-game road trip.
Â
Moore posted back-to-back double-figure performances after notching a career-high 25 points at No. 25 Miami on Saturday. The three-time Northeast Conference (NEC) Rookie of the Week has posted double figures eight times this season.
Â
Giles reached double figures for the first time since posting 18 points against Wagner on December 29, 2021. Since that game, Giles was 4-for-40 from the field with 14 points in nine games. He also missed 20 games due to injuries since January 8, 2022. He now has 23 career double-figure performances in his career.
Â
The game also featured the last two 40-point scorers in team history. Cohen, who posted 40 points against Lehigh on November 23 and against Hawai'i on December 11, was joined on the court with Mike Iuzzolino, who is an associate head coach with Robert Morris. Iuzzolino was the last player before Cohen's pair of 40's to reach the mark when he scored 41 points against the Colonials on February 13, 1991 in Loretto.
Â
The matchup with Robert Morris was the first matchup in Moon Township since the two teams squared off in the NEC Championship Game in the 2019-20 season.Â
