LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University women's basketball defeated Hartford 46-36 in the final game of the non-conference schedule. The 36 points allowed are the lowest since Saint Francis allowed 30 against LIU on Feb. 4, 2017.

TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
Saint Francis scored the first five points of the game before Hartford cut the deficit to 9-6 with under five minutes remaining in the first quarter. The Red Flash ended the first quarter with the only six points scored and took a 15-6 lead. In the second quarter, the teams traded baskets before Saint Francis took a 23-15 lead to the break.
In the third quarter, Saint Francis outscored Hartford 15-5 to open a 38-20 lead, its largest lead to that point of the game. McConnell converted a three-point shot before Moore converted a free throw to open a 22-point lead in the fourth. Hartford cut into the deficit before Saint Francis clinched its 46-36 victory.
FLASH NUGGETS
Saint Francis allowed only 15 first-half points, its least amount against in a half since 14 first-half points were scored by Sacred Heart on Feb. 10, 2020.
The non-conference win was Saint Francis' first since a 78-69 win over Towson on Dec. 22, 2020 – a 22 game span.
Moore produced the second double-double of her career and her fifth double-digit rebound game of the season. She has produced two of the top three Northeast Conference single-game rebound performances this season.
Miller set a season-high with eight rebounds and fell one shy of her career-high set on Dec. 11, 2021 against Duquesne.
