» If you though the Brad McCabe (Manasquan, N.J.) heroics were limited to one weekend, think again. McCabe scored a career-high 21 points to lift the Saint Francis University men's basketball team to a 78-65 win against Fairleigh Dickinson University on Thursday.
» McCabe went 6-for-8 from the floor, 5 of 6 from behind the arc and 4 of 4 from the charity stripe. He added five rebounds, a steal and an assist. The redshirt junior has registered 37 points in his last three games after having 10 points in his career prior to last weekend.

» Josh Cohen (Lincroft, N.J.) registered 16 points, six boards and three blocks, while Maxwell Land (Cincinnati, Ohio) added 13 points.
TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
Land and McCabe fueled a 16-4 start to the game to give the Red Flash the lead it would not relinquish. Land hit a pair of treys while McCabe added five points in the first five minutes of the game. Saint Francis had control of the game from that point on for the most part, but the Knights did make it interesting toward the end of the game. They cut the margin to 69-60 with 4:50 left only to see the Loretto program score the next nine points to put the game away Cohen started the closing run with back-to-back baskets in the paint after a media timeout.
FLASH QUOTES
"To win a college basketball game is difficult. To win a college basketball game on the road is difficult and to win a college basketball game on the road when you are shorthanded is difficult. We responded and did some good things offensively and I thought the first half our defense was fantastic. In the second half we were able to come out and get some momentum and extend that lead. They made a run and I told those guys its not easy when you are up big and the starting making shots, but to be able to regain our composure and win the way we did is certainly a credit to our guys."
- head coach Rob Krimmel on the game
"How about
Brad McCabe and hit performance and the way he has come on? It's a great story. This young man has been part of our program for three years now. He has kept a great attitude and keep working and it is neat to see that success. We have a lot of Jersey guys to be able to play in front of family and friends is a great opportunity for them." -
Krimmel on McCabe and other New Jersey players being able to play in front of family
"At this point we have got to execute the stuff that we talked about. Offensively limiting teams to one shot. Focus on one game at a time. Its nice to not be looking at where our next bus trip is. One game at a time and our next opportunity is on Saturday."
- Krimmel on starting a three-game homestand

FLASH NUGGETS
McCabe is averaging 12.3 points and 5.0 rebounds per game in his last three games. He is the fifth different player this season to score 20 points in a game. Dixon-Conover has four 20-point games this season. Land and Cohen both have a pair of 20-point games and
Myles Thompson (Camden, N.J.) scored 20 points once this season. The squad has posted three-straight games with 20-point performance after Dixon-Conover's 22 points against Bryant on Feb. 3 and Cohen's 26 points against Merrimack two days later.
Dixon-Conover, who did not make a Joe Naimith-type of guarantee, but did say at shootaround that he has never lost at FDU and didn't plan on it tonight, registered his 15th 10-point game of the season, 14th game with at least five boards and 17th game with at least three assists this season. It was also his seventh game this season with at least 15 points, five rebounds and three assists. The eight caroms ties a season high he set in the season opener against George Washington on Nov. 9.
Cohen, who had a career-high three blocks, followed up his Prime Performer performance with his 13th double-figure performance of the season and his seventh in his last nine games. He is averaging 13.0 points and 7.8 rebounds per game in that span. Land has registered double figures in four-straight games and five of his last six games and is averaging 14.3 points per game in that span.
Flagg finished the game with six points and eight rebounds. The redshirt senior needs one rebound to move into 19th place on the program's all-time career rebounding list.
One of the owners of the Minnesota Vikings of the NFL is a FDU graduate and was in attendance at the game.
