TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
Saint Francis and LIU started the game with a back-and-fourth first quarter that saw the Sharks end with a 16-15 lead. In the second quarter, LIU either held the lead or were tied until Saint Francis took a 30-27 lead into halftime.
In the third quarter, the Red Flash fell behind by one point before six straight points saw them take a 38-33 lead midway through the quarter. The Sharks went on a 10-2 run to end the third quarter and turned a seven-point deficit into a one-point, 45-44, lead.
The fourth quarter saw both teams within two points until LIU opened up a 57-54 lead with 29 seconds remaining. Maxwell responded with a two-point shot that cut the deficit to 57-56 before LIU converted two free throws.
With less than two seconds remaining in regulation, McLemore converted her second three-point field goal and sent the game to overtime in a 59-59 tie. In overtime, LIU's Thomas hit a three pointer, followed by two free throws. With Saint Francis unable to cut the deficit closer than three points, the Sharks clinched a 69-62 win.
FLASH NUGGETS
Dapaa recorded her third straight double-double and seventh of the season. Her 17 rebounds mark the seventh time this season she eclipsed 15 in a game. She sits at 299 rebounds this season. With seven assists, she led the team for the fourth time this season in that category.
With 11 points, Maxwell had her 10th double-digit scoring game this season.
Mastellone fell one rebound shy of her season-high with six.
