TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
With the Red Flash up 2-0, the squad just needed on more set for the win. The third set started off with the Terriers having control, but Saint Francis University was able to come back and tie the set 4-4. Both programs continued to tie several times throughout the third set. However, the Red Flash were able to maintain control towards the end of the set with a three-point lead to make the score 22-19. It was a kill from Red Flash libero Matthew Menosky (Washington, Pa./Bishop Canevin) that gave Saint Francis men's volleyball the third and final set with a score of 25-22 to give the squad the straight set victory.

FLASH MOMENTS

The first set was a back-and-forth battle between both teams. However, the Red Flash were able to gain control to ultimately claim the first set, 25-23 thanks to a set point kill from Liprando. The first set also featured three service aces coming off the hands of Blair, Leahey and Andrew Deardorff (Itasca, Ill./Lake Park).

The second set started off all St. Francis Brooklyn with the Terriers going on a 3-0 run. However, the Red Flash were finally able to take the lead because of a couple of attack errors from the Terriers to make the score 10-9. With the Red Flash down 12-13 the squad took the lead by going on a 3-0 run that included kills from Liprando and Ryan Parker (East Northport, N.Y./Northport) to make the score 15-13 in favor of Saint Francis University. The Red Flash did not allow the Terriers to take the lead again in the second set. A kill from Leahey followed by a block from Nathan Zini (Pittsburgh, Pa./Seton-La Salle Catholic) secured the second set for the Red Flash, 25-21 to make the squad one set away from victory.
