Water Polo Defeats Mount St. Mary's; Falls to Princeton to Close Out the Weekend

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Red Flash were able to put an end to their losing streak after defeating Mount St. Mary's in the first game of the day during the morning. Saint Francis wasn't able to close the weekend out with a win as they couldn't mount a comeback against the Princeton Tigers in Lewisburg, Pa.

STATS/NOTES
  • The Red Flash were led on offense by Emese Szucs and Kimberly Frostad who both scored four goals on a combined eleven shots. Addison Williams had three goals for Saint Francis while Maysen Seile and Kayla Rhoads had two a piece. Haiden Lang and Abbie Carter both had one goal to round out the scoring for the Red Flash.
  • Williams had a team-high five exclusions drawn with the Red Flash having 14 exclusions drawn in total.
  • Grace Raquel got the start in net for Saint Francis and made 12 saves to help lead the Red Flash to victory.
  • Saint Francis improves to 6-0 all-time against the Mounties and 2-0 this season, with the Red Flash outscoring Mount St. Mary's 35-14 in the two victories this year.

STATS/NOTES
  • The Red Flash weren't able to have the same scoring output as the first game today but Frostad was able to score two goals to lead the team on six shots. Taylor Halbauer, Carter, and Williams each had one goal for Saint Francis.
  • Seile was able to convert on a team-high four steals to lead the Red Flash in that category.
  • In net, Isabel Lumley played all game in this contest racking up seven saves for Saint Francis. 
  • The Red Flash now fall to 0-2 against Princeton this season as this will be the last time they face the Tigers in regular season play,


UP NEXT
The Red Flash will hit the road to Michigan University to play the Wolverines for the first time this season. They will also go toe-to-toe with Bucknell, Salem, and Iona over the two-day stretch next weekend.
