LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University women's tennis defeated Colgate 6-1 on Sunday afternoon, while the men lost 6-1.

Anoek Pruijmboom each won both of their matches.

Singles
Saint Francis nearly swept the day's singles matches when they took five-of-six. Yeo led the way with her second singles win of the season 7-6, 6-1 over Colgate's Addie Eklund in No. 1 singles. Vandeputte moved to 4-1 this season with her 6-0, 6-4 No. 3 singles win over Rebecca Wolf.
The Red Flash clinched their win when
Valeria Vinces defeated Emily Untermeyer 7-6, 6-1 in No. five singles. Pruijmboom followed shortly after with a 6-2, 6-4 win in No. 6 singles over Maddie Sullivan.
Romina Cutipa put an exclamation on the victory when she defeated Jordan Ben-Shmuel in a thrilling 6-2, 6-7, 10-8 victory in No. 4 singles.
Anouk Ma-Ajong suffered the only singles loss of the afternoon with her 3-6, 6-7 defeat to Emme Levenson.
Doubles
Saint Francis took the doubles point in thrilling fashion when Vandeputte and Pruijmboom defeated Eklund and Ben-Shmuel in No. 2 doubles 7-6. Yeo and Ma-Ajong earned their first doubles win of the season with a dominant 6-0 victory in No. 1 doubles over Levenson and Wolf.
Cutipa and
Marie Discini narrowly lost a No. 3 doubles match to Katerina Atallah and Untermeyer 5-7.

Singles
Colgate nearly swept the singles points with wins in five-of-six matches. Saint Francis' only win came in No. 3 singles when
Marc Fuste defeated Benito Vlassis 6-2, 6-3.
Fabio Varella had his first appearance in No. 1 singles and narrowly lost to Jack Selati 5-7, 7-5, 2-6.
Andrew Teixeira had his own close match in No. 2 singles with a 4-6, 6-1, 5-7 loss to Rohan Gupta.
The Raiders clinched Sunday's victory when
Matt Blose lost to Josh Israel 3-6, 1-6 in No. 6 singles.
Doubles
The Raiders swept Sunday's doubles matches to earn the point. All matches had a score of at least 7-5, with the closest match a 7-6 No. 3 doubles decision in the favor of Colgate's Mike Thomas and Israel over Banti and Garcia.

Saint Francis men's and women's return to the court on Saturday, Feb. 12 at Niagara. The women are scheduled to start at 4 p.m. followed by the men at 7 p.m.
