GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Red Flash softball team (12-10; 0-0) rounded out its weekend tournament season Sunday on a winning note, defeating Elon, 3-2, at UNCG Softball Complex.

TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME 
» Saint Francis garnered an early lead in the top of the third inning after Lindsay Ward hit a sacrifice fly to left center, driving in Mekenzie Saban from third.
» Elon evened up the scoring in the next half inning after Gabi Schaal doubled in Chloe Hatzopolous.
» Ashley Orischak reclaimed the lead for Saint Francis the following inning after doubling home Sydney Baker from second.
» Much like the third inning, Elon came back to nod up the scoring in the bottom of the fourth after Kaitlyn Wells scored on a dropped fly ball to right.
» In the sixth, Jordan Pietrzykoski put Saint Francis ahead for good with a double down the left field line, driving in Saban from first.
» Rachel Marsden would end the game in the seventh with two strikeouts and a ground out.
