Water Polo Set to Host Mount St. Mary's on Senior Night

LORETTO, PA. – The Saint Francis Water Polo team will host their last home contest of the 2022 season as they welcome Mount St. Mary's to the Stokes Natatorium. The Red Flash will head back into the water for the first time in two weeks as they look to get back in the win column against a familiar foe.

SCOUTING THE MOUNTIES
Mount St. Mary's comes into this weekend with a 7-19 overall record and an 0-8 record in the CWPA. On offense, Mount St. Mary's is led Rebbeca Valentine who has 66 goals on the season, the Mounties also have a dual-threat weapon in Ana Luisa Cotta who has 33 goals and 33 assists to lead Mount St. Mary's. In net, the Mounties are guided by Samantha Bright who has tallied 146 saves so far this season.

This is the second matchup between the two schools with the Red Flash winning the first contest 17-10. Emese Szucs and Kimberly Frostad led the way in that contest with four goals a piece with Addison Williams chipping in three goals to round out the leading scorers in that game. Freshman Grace Raquel go tthe start and made 12 saves to lead the Red Flash.

THE RED FLASH
Saint Francis returns home after their last games taking place two weeks ago in California and facing some of the top ranked teams in the country. Addison Williams led the Red Flash with eight goals in California with Taylor Halbauer right behind her with seven goals. Isabel Lumley notched 23 saves in her three starts and Grace Raquel was able to convert on 13 saves to help the Red Flash get a win against Austin in her lone start in net two weeks ago. Saint Francis will be honoring seniors Rebecca Pendleton and Julia Bradford before this upcoming game against Mount St. Mary's as they will be recognized for all of their accomplishments as a member of the Red Flash Water Polo team.
