JACKSONVILLE, FL - The Red Flash softball team (10-9; 0-0) wrapped up its trip to the UNF/JU Spring Break Challenge with a 6-0 loss to North Florida on Sunday.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
» North Florida ran away with the game early on, as a four-run third inning gave the Ospreys early momentum, and a single in the sixth added the final run.
» Saint Francis nabbed five hits in the game, two of which came off the bat of Mekenzie Saban.
FLASH QUOTES
» "This game was definitely not the way we wanted to end our trip. Right now it feels like we are up and down with our performances, we need more consistency, which I believe will come with more experience. It's coming, in my opinion, but we're not there yet." - Head Coach Jessica O'Donnell
» "I am proud of Grace though, she's right where we need her to be, but defensively we have to help her. Rachel came in and did what we needed her to do. I'm very pleased with our pitching staff at this point of our season, but we have to be better behind them." - O'Donnell on pitching
» "We have one more weekend of games before conference play starts, so I would expect our team to start to show who we really are more consistently game to game. This is a game of adjustments, we need to continue to make them in practice and within the game itself." - O'Donnell on preparing for the road ahead
