Red Flash Lax Drops Match At Mount St. Mary's

» Saint Francis University fell to Mount St. Mary's University 18-7 in Northeast Conference (NEC) women's lacrosse action on Wednesday.
» Autumn McHenry (Branford, Conn.) paced the Red Flash with two goals and an assist.
» Amanda Heidt (Erie, Pa.) and Christina Roncarati (East Longmeadow, Mass.) each found the twine twice. 
» C.C. Courter (Verona, N.J.) added a goal and paced the defense with three ground balls and two caused turnovers.

TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
After Heidt tied the game at 2 with 8:28 left in the first quarter, the Mount rolled off the next six goals to take the lead for good.

FLASH MOMENTS
McHenry scored the first goal of the game unassisted 53 seconds into the match before Heidt tied the game at 2 when she twinkled the twine unassisted at 8:28.

Roncarati notched her first score of the afternoon with 12:43 left in the second quarter and Courter notched her second marker of the season at 5:49 in the second quarter.

McHenry scored the lone goal for the Loretto program in the third quarter with 7:26 left in the frame.

Heidt found the back of the net unassisted at 10:23 before McHenry connected with Roncarati with 8:33 left in the fourth quarter.

FLASH NUGGETS
McHenry notched her eighth multi-goal performance of the season and the 20th of her career. The senior leads the team with 31 goals and 15 assists for 46 points. She did not move up and lists for her performance, but is now two draw controls away from fourth place on the single-season chart (60). In addition, the senior is now two points from 10th for points in a season and two assists from joining the Top-10 in assists for the second time in her career. McHenry joined the assist list last year with 20 helpers, good for sixth in single-season program history.

Heidt registered her seventh multi-goal performance this season and 20th of her career. The senior, who has 28 goals and eight assists for 36 points in 2022, now stands alone in eighth place in career goals in program history with 84 tallies. She also moved to three points of 100 points in her career.

Roncarati, the current NEC Rookie of the Week, posted her sixth multi-goal game of the season and now has 17 goals and an assist for 18 points in her first season in Loretto. The freshman also had two draw controls and a ground ball.

Courter notched a goal in a match for the fifth time in her career, while she scooped up at least three ground balls for the fourth time this season and 11th of her career.

Elyssa Enrique (North Canton, Ohio) made seven saves to move within two stops of fourth place in program history for career saves.

Danielle Hernandez (New Fairfield, Conn.) tied McHenry for the team-lead with four draw controls on the afternoon. The sophomore has three games with at least three draw controls in 2022 and has 20 draws this season.

The Red Flash won 16 of the 28 draw controls on the afternoon.
