LEWISBURG, PA. – The Red Flash Water Polo team was able to close out the weekend in exhilarating fashion defeating Bucknell in double overtime to finish the CWPA's with a 2-1 record. It was a complete team win as Saint Francis trailed most of the game before being able to send the game into overtime and eventually come away with a big win in their last game of the season. The fifth place finish for the Red Flash was the highest finish in the CWPA Championships in program history dating back to 2017.

STATS/NOTES
- Saint Francis had contributions from all over the pool and were able to play outstanding defense in the fourth period to not allow a single goal to help send the game to an extra period. The Red Flash trailed 5-3 going into the fourth period but with great defense and clutch goals the team was able to flip the game in their favor.
- The Red Flash offense had three players who led in goals with Taylor Halbauer, Kimberly Frostad, and Emese Szucs who each scored two goals. Abbie Carter and Addison Williams scored once for Saint Francis to round out the scoring department.
- The Saint Francis offense continued to attack the Bucknell cage with 20 shots total, most of them coming in the second half. Halbauer led the team with six shots while Carter and Williams each had five attempts.
- Halbauer and Williams continued to fill the stat sheet leading the team with two assists each. Szucs, Carter, and Carissa Semple each added one assist to round out that department.
- Goalie Isabel Lumley came up huge in net for the Red Flash not allowing a goal in the second half of regulation en route to 12 saves in the game. Lumley also compiled two steals and an assist in an all-around great game in goal for Saint Francis.
UP NEXT
This was the final game of the 2022 season, and the Red Flash will return to the pool next fall for pre-season training before they get set for the 2023 season.
