2022-23 Roster | 2022-23 Schedule
LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University men's basketball head coach
Rob Krimmel has finalized the 2022-23 roster. Redshirt junior
Brad McCabe (Manasquan, N.J./Manasquan) received a scholarship after last season. Highlighting the newcomers are
Cam Gregory (Accokeek, Md./The Steward School [Va.]),
Gestin Liberis (Havertown, Pa./The George School),
Landon Moore (Bloomington, Ill./Western Reserve Academy),
Wisler Sanon II (Haddonfield, N.J./Paul VI) and
Miles Webb (Arlington, Va./St. Stephens & St. Agnes), who each signed a National Letter of Intent.
"As a class, we were able to address the needs on the perimeter, bolstered our play on the inside, and added some depth to the roster," said Krimmel. "The staff did a tremendous job identifying not only great players but also great people from great families and high school/prep programs."
Junior
Justen Anderson (Waldorf, Md./La Plata) returns to the team as a walk-on. Joining Anderson as walk-ons on the team are junior
Darian Calloway (Laurel, Md./Charles H. Flowers) and freshmen
Daric Danchanko (Ebensburg, Pa./Central Cambria),
Alexander Derkits (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) and
Keshawn McNeill (Camp Zama, Japan/Zama American Middle High School).
McCabe, a 6-6 guard, came to Saint Francis as a walk-on after playing on the same AAU team as fellow redshirt junior
Josh Cohen (Lincroft, N.J./Christian Brothers Academy). McCabe, who learned that he earned a scholarship following the team's return to campus after its NEC Quarterfinal game against Wagner, has appeared in 21 games with five starts in his first two seasons in Loretto. He is averaging 4.1 points and 2.7 rebounds with 12 assists, five blocks, and five steals in his career. McCabe stepped it up after returning from injury at the end of January, averaging 8.5 points and 5.4 rebounds per game with eight assists, four blocks, and four steals in his last nine games. He registered three double-digit point performances and six games with at least five rebounds. The redshirt junior registered a career-high 21 points in his home state against Fairleigh Dickinson on February 10 and a personal-best nine rebounds against Central Connecticut State on February 24.
"Brad earning a scholarship after being a walk-on for us is a testament to his hard work, his belief in himself, and his ability to preserver through adversity during his first three years," said Krimmel. "He is an excellent shooter who plays extremely hard. In addition, his athleticism and strength will allow him to help us on both ends as he assumes a greater role on the team this year."
Gregory, a 6-5 guard, was a three-year letterwinner and a graduate of The Steward School in Richmond, Virginia. He averaged 22.5 points and 4.0 assists per game in his senior year. Gregory served as a team captain and was named to the Richmond Times Dispatch All-Metro second team and to the All-Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools (TCIS) two times in his career. He was also named TCIS's Most Valuable Player. Gregory is the nephew of former Red Flash men's basketball player Anthony Ervin (2009-13).
"Cam is a versatile perimeter player who has a great feel for the game and does a great job creating for himself and his teammates," said Krimmel. "This past season, Cam led his team to a conference tournament championship and a berth in the state semifinals. His length and understanding of the game will allow him to be an impact on both ends for us during the upcoming season."
Liberis, a 6-9 center, was a three-year letterwinner at The George School. He averaged 13.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per game in his senior year and served as a team captain.
"Gestin is a physical post player who will provide depth inside for us," said Krimmel. "He plays hard, runs well, and has great hands. His high school coach is a former college basketball player and coach and did a great job getting him ready for Division I basketball. Gestin has a very good feel for the game."
Moore, a 6-3 guard, finished his high school career at Western Reserve Academy. He averaged 24.8 points and 5.0 assists per game as a senior and 18.2 points and 6.4 assists per game as a junior. Moore led his team to a school-record 22 wins and registered a school-record 114 3-pointers in his senior campaign.
"Landon is a strong guard who can impact the game in a variety of ways," said Krimmel. "He is a very good shooter from different spots on the floor who can also handle the basketball and make plays for others. In addition, he has a great feel and will help us with his versatility and strength on both ends of the floor."
Sanon, a 6-4 guard, was a four-year letterwinner and finished his career at Paul VI. He ended with 1,100 career points, including posting 437 points in his final campaign. Named to the All-Conference first team three times, Sanon also served as team captain.
"Wisler is a versatile guard who can score the ball in a variety of ways," said Krimmel. "He finishes well and brings great energy to our group. He plays with passion and has the ability to make those around him better. We have known Wisler and his family for several years, and he will impact our program on and off the court."
Webb, a 6-8 forward, wrapped up his high school career at St. Stephens & St. Agnes, where he helped the squad to the conference championship in his senior campaign.
"Miles is a versatile forward," said Krimmel. "He can play on the perimeter as well as finish around the rim. His length and athleticism will also help us on the defensive end. In addition, he brings a winning pedigree to Loretto after helping lead his team to a conference championship this past year."
Anderson, a 6-2 guard, returns to Loretto after leaving the program for one season to play at Garrett Community College. He averaged 6.1 points per game in 14 games and posted four double-figure performances. He scored 25 points against Butler Community College in November 2021. Anderson was a 2020-21 Red Flash team member but did not appear in a game that season. Anderson, the son of Saint Francis all-time leading scorer Joe Anderson, played two seasons at La Plata High School. He averaged 15.2 points per game and was named an All-SMAC honorable mention as a junior and a first-team performer as a senior.
Calloway, a 6-3 guard, comes to Saint Francis after playing one season at St. Mary's (Md.) for the 2020-21 season. He played in all four games the Seahawks played in the season shortened by CoVID-19. He scored a career-high 15 points against Lancaster Bible on January 29, 2021. Calloway and junior

He was named the Male Athlete of the Year twice, Pac East Most Valuable Player, the Regular Season Most Valuable Player, and the All-Tournament team.
"I am excited to add Keshawn, Daric, Alex, Justen, and Darian to our program," said Krimmel. "Each one of them will add value to our team as we prepare for the upcoming season."
Along with McCabe, Saint Francis will have nine returners to go with the 10 newcomers for 2022-23. Redshirt seniors
