LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University women's basketball dropped its return home 73-60 against Sacred Heart and fell to 2-3 in conference play.

TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
Saint Francis pulled out to a 13-7 lead in the first four and a half minutes of the game behind two three-point shots by
Adison Novosel and
Filippa Goula. Sacred Heart responded with a 10-0 run across the next two minutes and ended the first quarter with a 26-17 lead. A nearly even second quarter saw the Pioneers enter halftime with a 41-29 lead.
In the third quarter, Sacred Heart led by 14 points, 45-31, under two minutes into the frame. Saint Francis cut the deficit to nine points, 52-43, at the end of the third quarter. Miller led off the fourth quarter with a two and cut the deficit to seven points, before the Pioneers ended the lead back to nine points with two free throws. The Red Flash were only able to get within eight points before Sacred Heart sealed its 73-60 victory.
FLASH NUGGETS
Miller's career-high 22 points broke her previous high of 17 points scored on Feb. 24, 2022 against Central Connecticut. She is the only active Saint Francis player with a 20-point performance in her career (
Kaitlyn Maxwell also scored 21 points last season at Temple).
Semaya Turner tied her career-high with two steals, which she previously set on Dec. 30 against Hartford. She has at least one steal in five of the past seven games.
Moore tied a season-high with two steals, which she set six different times prior. The 11 points mark her fifth double-digit scoring performance of the season.
