Nathan Zini (Pittsburgh, Pa./Seton-La Salle Catholic) led the Red Flash overall offensively once again with eight kills on the night.
Blake Liprando (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) followed closely behind with seven kills for both outside hitters to combine for 16.5 points for the Red Flash.

Brandon Dunz (Lake View, N.Y./Frontier) and
Peyton Blain (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) led the way defensively. Dunz with three total blocks and Blain with five digs.
TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
The Rainbow Warriors started off the game by going on a 4-0 run to maintain the lead for the entire first set. However, the Red Flash gained its way back into set one by going on a 9-2 run to tie the set at 12. Hawaii continued to dominate in the first set, but the Red Flash did not go away easily, holding Hawaii to four set points. The Rainbow Warriors were eventually able to go on to claim the first set, 25-21.
FLASH MOMENTS
The second set was more of a close battle early on between the Rainbow Warriors and Red Flash. However, Hawaii maintained the lead throughout set two to be able to go on and claim set two, 25-20.
The Red Flash gained its first and only lead of the game in the third set by getting on the board first in the final set thanks to a kill from Dunz. However, the Rainbow Warriors responded with a 4-0 run to take the lead and hold it for remainder of set three. Hawaii earned the third and final set, 25-20.
FLASH NUGGETS
Nathan Hayes (Erie, Pa./McDowell) made his season debut in Friday's game against Hawaii.
Nicholas Lynch (Rochester, N.Y./McQuaid Jesuit) made his collegiate debut in Friday's match by recording four kills, one block and one dig.
UP NEXT
The Red Flash will now turn its attention to a trip to Cambridge, Mass., to take on McKendree and North Greenville on Jan. 27 and 28.
